Magnesium deficiencies can be caused by stress, according to some studies. As stated in this research, stress and anxiety by products, such as cortisol, and adrenaline, were also associated with lower magnesium levels.

• Carbonated Beverages

The consumption of carbonated beverages has risen at an alarming pace since 1940. Phosphates contained in many of the dark-colored carbonated beverages  can bind magnesium inside the digestive tract, making it unavailable to your body, depleting your magnesium levels.
